Information You Submit
Search Entries
A name or location entered in a search box is transmitted to the third-party provider that operates the tool. This site does not store or log those query terms on its own systems. The provider’s policy controls its handling.
Messages
If you send an email or contact message, we keep the information needed to respond. Messages are not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is legally required.
Automatic Technical Data
Normal server and analytics records can collect:
- IP address;
- browser name and version;
- device type and operating system;
- pages viewed and time spent;
- referring website, when available;
- request dates and timestamps.
Cookies
Cookies help measure site use and support features. You can block them through browser settings, although parts of the site may then behave differently.
How Data Is Used
Collected data may be used to:
- operate the site and improve speed;
- send a search to the selected partner;
- measure which pages visitors use;
- diagnose errors and security problems;
- display advertising that may reflect visitor interests.
Other Websites
Links lead to Douglas County and Nevada government portals, release-record sources, sheriff and corrections pages, and third-party search services. After you leave, the destination’s own privacy terms apply.
Advertising partners may use their systems to track activity across sites for interest-based ads. That processing occurs under their controls, not this site’s.
Who May Receive Data
We do not sell personal information. Data may be handled by:
- search partners processing submitted queries;
- analytics providers measuring site traffic;
- advertising networks delivering ads;
- law enforcement or a government body acting under a valid subpoena, warrant, court order, or other lawful demand.
Security Measures
Reasonable technical and administrative safeguards are used. No website, network, or storage method is breach-proof, so complete security cannot be guaranteed.
Visitors Under Eighteen
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian may use the Contacts page to request deletion if a minor submitted information.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law, you may ask for a copy of personal data we hold, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, or an opt-out from certain processing. Nevada public records held by an agency are controlled under NRS Chapter 239 and must be addressed to that agency, not this site.
Notice Changes
This privacy notice may be revised as practices or legal requirements change. A revised version takes effect when posted with its new effective date.
