As checked on July 28, 2026, no distinct official 72-hour released-inmate web feed was verified. The Douglas County Sheriff jail page says its web inmate list is coming soon and sends users to the mobile apps. It does not state that either app has a three-day selector. The app may change apart from the website, so its exact version, platform, filter label, visible update time, and oldest event should be recorded during a live check.
A search engine may expose old county PDFs. Those files are not a maintained recent-release service. An indexing date is not a release date, and an old roster should never be republished as a current three-day list.

Check Douglas Three-Day Releases
A three-day search works best as a bounded inquiry. Start from Douglas County Jail when the arrest was local. Lake Tahoe, state-prison, federal, and immigration custody require their own channels.
- Check the official Douglas County Sheriff app and note the exact status language and observation time. Do not assume a rolling window unless the filter says so.
- Call Minden Jail at 775-782-9922 or Jail Administration at 775-782-9944. Ask whether the person remains confined, left Douglas County custody, or transferred.
- Search Nevada S.A.V.E. for a current custody event or notification. Its own warning says a person no longer held may not appear.
- Use the Douglas County court tied to geography and case level. Court orders can explain bail, dismissal, time served, or another basis.
- Request the releasable release log for exact start and end times. Ask DCSO to define all event codes and identify a receiving agency when public.
For only the newest events, use Jail Releases: 24 Hours. The shorter interval is useful when the precise day is already known.
Douglas 72-Hour Record Fields
Because no verified public feed exposes fields, these are the items to seek from DCSO. A log may contain terminal custody events that do not mean return to the community.

Ask the custodian to translate codes. “Transfer” is not community release. Nor should a death be grouped casually with people who returned to the community.
Douglas Weekend Release Checks
A wider window can bridge a weekend or holiday, but no official Douglas County source promises a set processing schedule. A court order, bond posting, and physical departure are separate events. Staff may still need to check other holds, complete paperwork, return property, and coordinate transport. Never claim that a weekend event must appear on the next business day.
Use exact timestamps. A request can specify midnight at the start of the first day through 11:59 p.m. at the end of the third. Ask whether the agency treats the interval as calendar days or a rolling 72 hours. If the answer is unknown, say so.

DCSO Records accepts requests in person, by mail, or email. Mail goes to Douglas County Sheriff's Office, Attn: Records and Licensing, P.O. Box 218, Minden, NV 89423. The office is at 1038 Buckeye Road. Call 775-782-9933. Posted hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Give the person's name, booking or case number if known, and a precise date range. Ask for a releasable jail booking sheet, custody chronology, or release log showing date, time, reason, and receiving authority or destination when recorded and public. Request electronic delivery and an advance fee estimate. DCSO posts $1 for criminal reports and name searches and says email delivery is free, but it lists no specific release-log fee. Its stated five-business-day contact is an availability check, not a promise of full production.
NRS Chapter 239 governs Nevada public-record requests. Confidential, sealed, juvenile, medical, victim, and security material may be withheld or redacted. Ask for the public portions and the legal basis for any withheld part.
Douglas Release Status Differences
A live jail roster concerns current custody. A release transaction records the end of a Douglas County event. A court docket explains legal authority, but may not show the minute jail staff finished processing. Pair the transaction and court order whenever the timing matters.
State-prison release follows a different path. Search NDOC for a person committed to Nevada custody. Use BOP for federal imprisonment and ICE for an immigration handoff. Nevada S.A.V.E. can help bridge county and state events, but it is notification evidence rather than a certified record.
The court search is geographically split. East Fork Justice Court and Tahoe Justice Court handle their respective justice-court areas, while the Ninth Judicial District Court handles district-level cases, including felony proceedings. A Stateline booking may point first to Tahoe Justice Court. A felony can begin below and later proceed in District Court. Search the court order for legal authority, then use the jail transaction for the physical exit time.
Keep each status in its lane. Bond means custody ended while a case was pending, not that the charge was resolved. Own-recognizance release is court-authorized community release under stated terms. Time served marks the end of the controlling jail term after credit, subject to other holds. Dismissal closes the named charge as a custody basis, yet another case or warrant can still apply. These distinctions prevent a three-day log from becoming a misleading list.

Douglas App Window Unknown
The official “Douglas County Sheriff” app exists for Apple and Android. The jail page establishes its inmate-list role. The accessible store material did not confirm a 72-hour filter, released entries, photo display, or retention. Those limits matter because a three-day page must not imply fields that have not been observed.

Reconcile Douglas Release Sources
A three-day review may produce several dates. The booking log marks intake. A judge may sign an order later. Bond can be posted at another time, and staff can finish physical release after that. A court filing date, app update, and search-engine timestamp are not substitutes for the release transaction. Record each source and its observation time before comparing them.
If the app and court disagree, call DCSO rather than choosing the more convenient result. Ask whether the order was received, whether another hold exists, and whether Douglas County transferred custody. A transfer destination may be withheld or limited, but the uncertainty should remain visible. If a state sentence followed the local case, check NDOC. If a federal or immigration hold is possible, use the matching federal locator and agency contact.
For a certified need, request both sides of the event. The jail chronology supplies the physical date and time. The court’s certified order or disposition supplies legal authority. Nevada S.A.V.E. is useful for alerts, but Nevada warns against treating one notification system as the sole official record. These sources can complement one another without being interchangeable.
